Speak To Your Mountain

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23 KJV.

Let’s take a close look at this scripture. We all are on a journey, working towards reaching our destiny or to put it another way, to fulfil our purpose here on the earth. Of a surety, we will all face mountains or another word would be obstacles. We cannot avoid it. In order to get to where we need to go, we need to get pass those mountains. Yeshua said some very significant things here to us. First things first, we cannot be passive and expect the mountain to move because we are standing in front of it.

We are required to do a number of things. 1. Say or speak to it. This means that we have to open our mouths and take authority. We cannot remain silent and expect the mountain to move. Even in the beginning, at creation God spoke. He said, let there be and there was – Genesis 1:3 KJV. All creation was spoken into being.  2. Not only do we open our mouths, but we must be specific in our command to the mountain. The scripture says, ‘be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea’.

3. Doubt cannot be in our heart. Doubt must go, for it is a barrier, a hinderance to our command. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin – Romans 14:23 NKJV. I know that we are not talking about eating, but let’s get the essence of the scripture. If you doubt you are condemned, because whatever you are doing is not from faith. If it is not from a place of faith, it is sin.  And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief – Mark 9:24 KJV.

4. We must believe what we say and that it will come to pass. Nothing will happen if we do not believe! We must have faith! But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him – Hebrews 11:6 KJV. Whatever that mountain is before you, do this... Speak, be specific with your command, do not doubt, but only believe!
