Temple Maintenance

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another"- John 13:34.

HEALTH TIPS: This bible scripture is a call to relational, emotional, and social health.

Emotional and mental health flourish in a loving community. God designed us to thrive through supportive relationships, not isolation. Practicing selfless, agape love releases stress, bitterness, and unforgiveness that weighs heavily on both the heart and body. God never intended us to walk alone. Two are better than one because we all stumble and healing often comes through the hands of others. When we stay connected, encouraging one another in love and good works, our faith is strengthened, and our hearts are protected. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10,12; Hebres 10:24-25 and Psalm 92:12-14).

Those who choose to be planted in God’s community don’t just survive; they flourish. Like a threefold cord, lives rooted in God and woven together with others become resilient, supported, and spiritually vibrant. Perfect love drives out fear and settles the heart. When we forgive as Christ forgave us, love binds our lives together and restores inner unity. A heart at peace brings life to the body, while envy and resentment quietly drain it. Choose love over fear, forgiveness over bitterness, and peace over envy, your heart and body will feel the difference. (! John 4:18; Colossians 3:13-14 and Proverbs 14:30).

Serving others with humility, following Jesus’ example, shifts our focus away from anxiety and self-centeredness, bringing peace and emotional balance. Forgiveness, even before an apology is offered, frees us from emotional burdens and opens the door to healing.

Stay connected. Show up. Encourage someone today. Community is not a burden—it’s God’s design for strength, growth, and lasting well-being.

This month’s practice: choose one small act of kindness, speak words that build someone up, or offer grace where it’s hard. These simple acts of love don’t just bless others; they restore your own well-being.

Recipe of the Month: The 1 Corinthians 13 Recipe

Ingredients: Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruits of the Spirit is love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control; against such things there is no law.

Prep: Love as the base, joy for sweetness, peace to steady the heart. Add patience to slow the process, kindness and goodness to enrich every interaction. Stir in faithfulness for consistency, gentleness for tenderness, and self-control to keep everything in balance.

Yield daily to the Holy Spirit. Allow time for growth. Serve generously to others.

When the Spirit leads, these qualities naturally develop, nourishing both soul and life. This is God’s recipe for wholeness—freely given, with no limits and no law against it. The fruit of the Spirit isn’t about self-improvement or moral performance—it’s about becoming more like Christ from the inside out. As the Holy Spirit shapes these qualities in us, they restore what fear, sin, and brokenness distort: our relationship with God, with others, and within ourselves. God grows His fruit in us so we can live whole, love well, and point the world back to Him.
