We know that having faith means trusting God, and that without faith it is impossible to please God. As children of God, we should all want to please God. We often say that we have faith, but do we truly have faith? Do we truly trust God? Well, it is not enough to just say that we have faith or trust God, our actions, our obedience to God is the proof, the evidence that we have faith, that we trust God.

Let’s dive deeper and look at some persons mentioned in the bible that according to Hebrews chapter 11, made it to the Hall of Faith. Usually when God speak a word to us or ask us to do something, He never tells us the full details. I believe if He tells us everything that would happen, we will not want to do what He asks of us. For example, God anointed David as king of Israel, but David faced so many obstacles before he sat on the throne.

When God instructed Noah to build a boat to save himself and his family, Noah obeyed God. Noah trusted what God said and it was evident by his actions. It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith (Hebrews 11:7 NLT) The Easy English Bible says, As a result of his faith, Noah showed that everyone else in the world was wrong. Noah himself became one of those people that God accepted as right with him. They are right with God because they trust Him.

Most times when God asks us to do something, many will not understand. What God asked of you may look foolish in the eyes of men, but trusting and obeying God yields a good recompense. We too are made right with God, when we trust Him. It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed[b] that God would keep His promise. And so, a whole nation came from this one man (Abraham) who was as good as dead—a nation with so many people that, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore, there is no way to count them (Hebrew 11:11-12 NLT).

When God instructs you to do something, or make a promise to you, no matter how difficult or impossible it may seem, continue to move by faith, continue to trust God knowing that what He said, He will do. So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that He has promised.” (Hebrews 10:35-36 NLT)
