My Help Comes from the Lord!

I look up to the mountain - does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! - Psalm 121:1-2 NLT

Where are you looking for help? Are you self-reliant? Are you looking to others? Are you looking to the systems of the world? They will all fail, but there is One you can look to for help and that is the Lord.

I am sure many of you, like myself have look to others for help, have turned to the systems of this world for help to only end up disappointed. Now understand that we are there to help and support each other, but we have limitations. Sometimes the help we need is beyond human ability. We need supernatural help. That supernatural help comes from the Lord.

The Psalmist stated that his help comes from the Lord. Who is this Lord that the Psalmist speaks of? It is the Lord who made the heaven and the earth. He is the creator. He created the world. Think about it, since the Lord created the heaven and the earth, is there anything that He cannot do? No! When you cry out to Him, He will help you. He will not fail you. His hands are not too short to save you. He is the Almighty God, the All-Powerful God!

When you receive help from the Lord, you do not need to look anywhere else. No one can go beyond what He can do. Help from God gives you assurance and hope and removes doubt and fear. You can be confident in the help that comes from the Lord. He will not let you fall. He watches over you, and He does not slumber or sleep. You can have the assurance that He got you. He stands beside you as your protective shade; no harm shall befall you. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways – Psalm 91:11 KJV.

I want to encourage you, look to the Lord for help! You will not be disappointed! Read Psalm chapters 121, 91 and 23 to learn more of the help that comes from the Lord.
