The Holy Spirit Gives Life

“The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing, and the very words I have spoken to you are Spirit and Life” - John 6:63-NLT.

Isaiah prophesied of the day when the virgin would conceive and give birth to Immanuel, God with us, and this joyful news was told to Joseph when an angel of the LORD appeared to him. For thirty-three amazing years, God dwelt among His own people, for the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us, full of Grace and Truth. Yeshua was indeed God WITH us, but He told His disciples of an even more staggering truth: that the time was fast approaching when the Holy Spirit would be sent: God WITHIN us.The world is incapable of receiving the Spirit of God for they do not know Him, but those who have trusted Christ as Saviour, do know the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit gives spiritual life; without the work of the Holy Spirit, we cannot even see our need for new life. All spiritual renewal begins and ends with God. He reveals Truth to us, lives within us, and then enables us to respond to that Truth.

The Holy Spirit leads us into all Truth. He will never leave us, the world at large cannot receive Him; He lives with us and in us; He reminds us of Yeshua’s Words (John 14:17). He convicts us of sin, shows us God’s righteousness, and announces God’s judgements on evil;he guides us into truth and gives insight into future events(John 16:13). He brings Glory to Yeshua. The Holy Spirit has been active among people from the beginning of time, but after Pentecost, He came to live in all believers. Many people are unaware of the Holy Spirit’s activities, but to those who understand Yeshua’s Words and the Spirit’s power, the Spirit gives a whole new way to look at life.

God help me never to stop growing spiritually. Make me mature in body , thought ,and spirit by remaining true to You.
