Have the Same Mind as Christ In You

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” - Philippians 2:5 KJV

Part 1:

Often during prayer, we would pray the verse of today. Let the mind that is in Christ be also in us. Nothing is wrong with praying like this, because as believers one of our goals beside going to heaven is to be transform into the image and likeness of Christ. One way for this to happen is to have the same attitude as Christ or the same mind set.

Scripture tells us, ‘And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God – Romans 12:2 KJV. When Christ walked the earth, though He knew who He was – the Son of God, where He came from – from Heaven, He left from divinity to humanity, He humbled Himself to fulfill what the Father sent Him to do. He became a servant. He was obedient to His Father, obedient even to death on a cross.

When we look at Christ and who He was, how He lived, how much more are we to humble ourselves and become like Him? He was not selfish. He was not puffed up. He who knew no sin became sin for us. He gave up His life so that we may live, so that we may have life and life more abundantly. Though He was the Son of God, He served the people. He laid down His life for us. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends – John 15:13 KJV.

I would like us to take some time and ponder on this scripture and what it really means to have the mind of Christ, or the same attitude as Christ. Tomorrow we will continue and dig deeper into this scripture and see the impact we can have when we have the same mind, mind set or attitude as Christ.
