Raised by His Power

“And God raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.” - 1 Corinthians 6:14 TLV

This verse anchors our faith in a powerful and unshakable truth: the same power that raised the Lord is at work in us. It is not merely a promise for the distant future, but a present reality that shapes how we live, endure, and hope.

When we reflect on this, we are reminded that Adonai is not distant from our struggles or confined to a future resurrection. His power is active now. Just as He raised the Lord, He is able to lift us out of spiritual weakness, restore us in seasons of brokenness, and sustain us through trials. As it is written, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak” (Isaiah 40:29).

This truth connects deeply with the assurance found in Romans 8:11: “If the Spirit of Him who raised Yeshua from the dead dwells in you, He who raised the Messiah from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” The resurrection power of Adonai is not only historical, it is indwelling, life-giving, and transformative.

Like Martha, who believed in a future resurrection (John 11:24), we often place our hope in what God will do someday. Yet Adonai invites us to trust Him in the present moment. He is “our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). The same power that secures our eternal future also sustains our daily walk.

This means our lives are not our own. Just a few verses earlier, we are reminded that our bodies are temples and that we are to honor God with them (1 Corinthians 6:19–20). If we truly believe that we will be raised by His power, then we are called to live set-apart lives reflecting His holiness even now.

In times of doubt or weakness, we can hold fast to this promise: “being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion” (Philippians 1:6). The God who raises the dead is faithfully at work in every detail of our lives.
