God Is Light

“Now this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all”-1 John 1:5 TLV

Light represents what is good, pure, true, holy and reliable. Darkness represents what is sinful and evil. The statement that God is light means that  He s perfectly holy and true and that alone can guide us out of the darkness of sin, showing us the right path. His light clearly and truthfully exposes our motives, whether good or bad. In the  dark, if you can see at all, different objects look alike; in the light, good and evil can be clearly distinguished. Just as darkness cannot exist in the presence of light, sin cannot exist in the presence of a Holy God.

If we want and have a relationship with God, we must put aside our sinful ways of thinking and living. He alone can never die, and He lives in light so brilliant that no human can approach Him. No human eye has ever seen Him, nor ever will. The One who is the true Light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. All who trust in Yeshua are no longer identified with the first man Adam, but  our God and our Saviour. And the joyful message that the Apostle John announced to us all is: "God is LIGHT and in Him is no darkness at all."

Let us therefore walk in the Light as He is in the Light, and may the Light of God in Yeshua shine in our hearts and show forth in our lives so that men may see the Light of Yeshua shining in our lives, as we abide in Him and He in us. For the darkness is disappearing and the true Light is already shining.
