Thank God for the Triumph in Yeshua

But thanks be to God, who in the Messiah constantly leads us in a triumphal procession and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of what it means to know him! - 2 Corinthians 2:14 CJB

There are so many reasons to give thanks to God. Often when we think of giving thanks, we focus on the things we have, but as believers there are so many other reasons than things to give God thanks for.

As children of God, we are victorious and overcomers, not because of anything that we have done, not by our own strength, but because of Yeshua. Our victory is in Yeshua. Through Yeshua we walk in triumph. He leads us in victory. We have victory over sin, victory over death.

Yeshua constantly leads us in triumph and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of what it means to know Him. As followers of Yeshua, we carry a fragrance, an aroma. We carry the good news of salvation. What we have, what we carry affects lives. It’s like when someone wears a sweet-smelling perfume, people would be drawn by the smell and would ask what perfume are you wearing? So, it is with us as believers, we carry the sweet aroma of Yeshua to those who are seeking for hope and truth, in a world where the stench of lawlessness, hate, hopelessness, unforgiveness and death wants to suffocate.

One of the fragrances we carry by knowing the Lord is joy. When we have the joy of the Lord which is our strength, people are drawn to us. When we are facing opposition and we remain joyful, people would ask, how can you be so joyful when you are facing opposition? They are fascinated by our joy and confidence. This gives us the opportunity to tell them the good news, to tell them of Yeshua in whom we have victory. This is the moment we get to tell them that they too can have the same joy which comes from the Lord.

Let us never forget to give thanks to God who always leads us in triumph because of Yeshua. Always remember, the responsibility and privilege we have as believers to be ambassadors of Yeshua, spreading His fragrance of life and love wherever we go.
