“Know therefore that Adonai, your God, He is God—the faithful God who keeps covenant kindness for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His mitzvot” - Deuteronomy 7:9 TLV.

We are repeatedly called in Scripture not merely to acknowledge truth, but to truly know it—deeply, firmly, and without wavering. As it is written, “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). This knowing is not intellectual alone; it is a settled conviction of the heart, mind, and spirit that the eternal Creator is indeed our Lord and God.
The One who made heaven and earth has bound Himself to His people through an everlasting covenant. As declared in Deuteronomy 7:9, “Know therefore that the LORD, your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of Love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments.” His faithfulness is unchanging, His Word unbreakable, and His promises sure.
Through His Grace, we have been brought near and made accepted in the Beloved, as affirmed in Ephesians 1:6. We are not only redeemed, but sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise (Ephesians 1:13), who dwells within us as a guarantee of what is to come. In God’s sight, we are already counted as saved, sanctified, and glorified (Romans 8:30), having received the gift of eternal Life (John 5:24).
This assurance rests not on our strength, but on His character. “If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself” (2 Timothy 2:13). Every promise God has spoken finds its fulfillment in Christ, for “all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen” (2 Corinthians 1:20).
God’s covenant faithfulness extends across all His dealings—with humanity, with Israel, and with the Church. As Hebrews 10:23 encourages us, “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.” He is a covenant-keeping God, whose purposes stand firm forever.
Our calling, then, is simple yet profound: to trust Him fully. Proverbs 3:5 reminds us, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” As we yield ourselves to Him, He works within us, shaping us into the likeness of His Son (Romans 8:29), so that our lives may reflect His Glory.
To truly know these truths is to grow in knowing Him. And to know Him is to love Him (1 John 4:16). His mercy extends to all who love Him and walk in His ways. Everything we need to know about Him—His character, His promises, and His purposes—has been revealed in His Word (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
Therefore, let us be diligent to know that the LORD is God, to rest in His faithfulness, and to walk in the confidence that He will accomplish all that He has promised—forever and ever.
