Are You Wise or Foolish

Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. - Matthew 7:24 NLT

When someone decides to build a house, it is important that they follow the building requirements that are set by the government. If they ignore the building codes and proceed to build, when natural disaster strikes, that house will not stand, it will be destroyed.

This is no different with our natural and spiritual lives. How are we building our lives? Are we building our lives on what YESHUA said or are we building on our own words or the words of others. The bible is the word of GOD, and we are to follow what GOD said in HIS word. In order to do what GOD says, we must read the bible. It is not enough to just listen to what someone say, we must read the bible for ourselves and ask the LORD to give us revelation and understanding. ‘

YESHUA said, he that listens to my teaching and follows it is wise. If you only listen to the word of GOD and does not obey the word you are considered foolish. But don’t just listen to GOD’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and does not forget what you heard, then GOD will bless you for doing it – James 1:22-25 NLT.

When we listen to GOD’s word and do what it says we become strong. This strength is not of ourselves, but we are strong in the LORD and in the power of HIS might. The word of GOD is powerful and teaches us how to live according to GOD’s standards, so that when the storms of life come, we do not fall apart, because our lives are built on a solid foundation which is YESHUA and HIS word. Anything that is false or superficial cannot stand and will fall.
